Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy explains how MFR Strategies, LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information in the My Coop mobile app and the Coop Apps web apps: HR Coop, Coop Maintenance and Coop Catering (together, the “Services”).
Who uses the Services
The Services are business tools for restaurant operators and their teams. An employer (“your organization”) signs up, and creates or approves each person’s account. You cannot create an account on your own. Your organization decides what information is entered and who can see it. Where an organization’s records are concerned, we process that information on the organization’s behalf, and your employer is responsible for how it uses it.
Information we handle
Account information
Your name, work email address, permission level, location assignments and sign-in credentials. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider; we do not see them.
Workplace records your organization keeps in the Services
- Employee profiles: title, hire date, work area, employment type, phone and email.
- Attendance records and points, documentation such as coaching and warnings, and related notes and attachments.
- Time-off requests and balances, time punches (clock-in and clock-out times, the location and category you choose, and notes), and onboarding checklists.
- Meetings, goals, development assignments, new-hire tracking, uniform orders, job postings and applications, and help-desk requests.
- Maintenance work orders and facility records, and catering orders, production, packing and donation records.
Help-desk requests can include sensitive details that you choose to submit, such as direct-deposit or tax information. Please share only what a request asks for.
Photos and files
If you choose to attach a photo or file (for example a photo for a work order, or a document for a request), the app asks for access to your camera or photo library at that moment. We use them only to attach what you select. We do not access your camera or photos otherwise.
Notifications and device information
If you allow notifications, we store a push-notification token for your device, the device type and name, and when it last connected, so we can deliver alerts you have turned on. You can turn alerts off in the app’s Settings or in your device settings.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your device’s GPS or location. Where a feature asks for a location, you pick a restaurant location from a list.
- We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not include third-party analytics in the app.
- We do not sell personal information.
How we use information
- To provide the Services your organization uses, including sign-in, records, approvals, reports and notifications.
- To send alerts and emails that you or your organization have turned on.
- To secure the Services, prevent misuse, fix problems and give support.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who we share information with
Within your organization, people see information according to their role and the settings your organization chooses. We do not share personal information with outside parties except the service providers that help us run the Services, who may process it only for that purpose:
- Cloud hosting, database, authentication and file storage (Supabase) and web hosting (Vercel).
- Push-notification delivery (Expo, and Apple’s notification service).
- Email delivery (Resend).
- Optional team-chat alerts that your organization configures (Slack).
- Billing for organizations (Stripe). Billing details are not collected inside the mobile app.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as your organization uses the Services and as needed for legal and business purposes. Your organization can remove records and accounts. When an organization ends its agreement, we delete or return its data under our agreement with it. To ask about your own information, contact your employer first, since they control their records. You can also email us at support@mycoopapps.com and we will help route your request.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and each organization’s data is separated from every other organization’s. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect your own sign-in details and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
Young workers
The Services are not directed to children under 13. Restaurant organizations may employ workers who are 14 or older where the law permits, and accounts for those workers are created and managed by their employer.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because your organization controls its records, we direct such requests to the organization where required, and we respond to them directly when we are the responsible party.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell organizations and users through the app or by email.
